An Expanded Vision for Journalism + Design

Two years after its launch, Journalism + Design has been awarded $1.3 million from the Knight Foundation to broaden its design and systems-oriented approach to journalism innovation. We’ll expand our innovative model beyond The New School, offering open-source curriculum, forming partnerships with other journalism programs, introducing journalistic ethics and practice to design schools buy cialis uk.

We’ll also continue our popular public programming and annually convene experts across disciplines in a rigorous, collaborative effort to address the most complex challenges facing 21st century journalism.

This grant builds on a previous award from the Knight Foundation, which allowed Journalism + Design’s founding director, Heather Chaplin, to launch the program that has become one of the university’s marquee initiatives.

Some of the new classes and workshops created by Journalism + Design include: Designing Workflow and Product Strategy for Newsrooms; Making Animated Video for News; and Facts/Alternative Facts.
